Do you need more tiny birds in your game? Do you have a mighty desire for little eggs and another new mayonnaise to drink? This mod is for you!

This mod has optional Animal Husbandry compatibility, with 4 new recipes to find and cook up. These recipes use all vanilla items (+ quail meat) or, if you have Cornucopia installed, some of them will change to use those items instead or become flexible if you have it turned on in Cornucopia.

This mod has optional effects with Special Power Utilities installed to change the text of the recipe book when learning. It's entirely aesthetic.

By default the Plumed and Bobwhite appearances are enabled. You can toggle on a few more below.

Enable Common Quail (false by default): Enables the Common Quail texture and adds it to the possible quail appearances.

Enable Scaled Quail (false by default): Enables the Scaled Quail texture and adds it to the possible quail appearances.

Q: Why are some of my quail now error chickens?

A: There were some updates to treat all the animals as a singular species. If they appear as error chickens, you can sell them safely and rebuy new animals from Marnie.

Q: Why did my birds change colors?

A: There were some updates to treat all the animals as a singular species. Animals should migrate to the new format, but if the skins are different than what you expected your animals to be, you can change them with the Scissors tool in Alternative Textures.

1. Install SMAPI

2. Install Content Patcher

3. (Optional) Install Generic Mod Config Menu, Animal Husbandry, and Special Power Utilities for some bonus features

4. Download the main .zip file from this mod and install it the same way you installed the other mods

5. (Optional) Download the Animal Husbandry .zip file from this mod and install it the same way you installed the other mods

6. When starting up the game for the first time, use Generic Mod Config Menu to choose which options you want to turn on or off.

You're ready to play!

To remove this mod, you can just delete it from your mod folder. Any animals and items still left in your save file will safely be left behind as error items, which can be thrown away or sold by right clicking on animals.
