📋 About This Mod
Mastery Extended is a mod for Stardew Valley that aims to allow the player more options to use the Mastery system.
Gaining Mastery Points
You can gain Mastery Points in the same way than in vanilla Stardew, but now you can start gaining them after you get level 10 in the corresponding skill, not only after getting level 10 in all of them.
Accessing the Mastery Cave
Other than the normal method, you can also get access if you get to Mastery Level 5 (configurable).
After getting access to the Mastery Cave, you can click on the pedestal to show the menu
Clicking the "Invest" button will show you the Skills Menu.
Clicking on one of the Skills will show you the Professions for that Skill.
Clicking on a Profession will add it to your character.
Claiming Mastery Pillar Rewards
You can't unlock them immediately as before. Now you need 3 professions in the Skill, so unlock at least one extra at the Pedestal. (configurable)

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 927 endorsements and a massive 115k downloads — clearly doing something right.
- Actively updated as of July 2026, so you know it's not abandoned.
- Ties professions into the Mastery system, which is a clever way to add depth without cluttering the UI.
⚠️ Cons
- Description is super thin — no details on how it works or what professions are included.
- Only one feature so far, and the 'more soon' promise might not materialize.
For players who want to unlock professions through the Mastery system and enjoy progression-based gameplay. If you're looking for a mod that adds new professions or overhauls the system, this might not be enough yet. Skip if you prefer straightforward unlocks without extra steps.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Check the mod's forum or comments section for any hidden setup steps, since the description is vague.
- Make sure your game is up to date to avoid compatibility issues with the latest patch.
- If you use other mods that alter the Mastery system, test for conflicts early.
