Combat Control Fix - FINAL

What it does

1. Directional melee on one mouse button

• []Tap LMB — attack combo, alternating Left / Right[/]

  []Shift + tap LMB — the combo opens with Right instead of Left[/]

  []Hold LMB — Bottom attack[/]

  []Shift + hold LMB — Top attack[/]

Q and E still work as normal Top / Bottom attack keys. All of it is suppressed while a menu owns the mouse — inventory, dialogue, map, pause — so LMB and RMB behave completely normally in there.

2. Binds that stay put

The game likes to drop custom binds on restart. This mod re-applies yours automatically on every game start and after every save or level load.

  Installation

  • []Extract the archive into: G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\[/]

    []You should end up with ...\ue4ss\Mods\Combat Control Fix\enabled.txt and ...\Combat Control Fix\Scripts\main.lua[/]

    []Start the game. The UE4SS console should show:

    Combat Control Fix v6. 1 loaded ...

    Directional-attack helper ONLINE ...

    rebuild OK via EnhancedInputLibrary[/]

  That last line is the one that proves it is working.

  Configuration

  Everything lives in settings.ini in the mod folder — a plain commented text file. You never have to open a script. Timing, which keys get forced, and the two optional hotkeys are all in there.

  Uninstalling — important

  Deleting the mod folder on its own does NOT undo anything. Your custom keys live in the game's own settings file, not in the mod folder, so the game keeps loading them with no mod installed to blame.

  To fully remove it, delete the mod folder and this file, then let the game rebuild it:

  %LOCALAPPDATA%\G1R\Saved\SaveGames\EnhancedInputUserSettings.sav

  (If you ever set that file to read-only, clear that first — read-only makes things worse, not better.)

  Known limitations

  • []Tap attacks fire on mouse release — the unavoidable price of telling a tap from a hold on a single button. Lower HoldThresholdMs in settings.ini if you want it snappier.[/]

    []Shift is also Sprint, so Shift+attack may sprint while you are moving.[/]
