Unlock all (lockpick autoskip)

The mod does not force-open everything. It only works when the game itself starts the normal lockpicking minigame. Key-only doors, quest locks, and objects without lockpick mechanics are not affected.

Folder Structure

After installation, your folders should look like this:

Installation

Main version, UE4SS included:

1) Download the main file.

2) Open your Gothic 1 Remake installation folder.

Usually it is something like:

Steam\steamapps\common\Gothic 1 Remake

3) Unpack the archive directly into the Gothic 1 Remake folder.

4) Launch the game normally from Steam.

You do not need to run the game as administrator.

Lua-only version, for existing UE4SS installs:

Use this version only if you already have UE4SS installed.

1) Unpack the G1R_NoChestLocks folder into:

Gothic 1 Remake\G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods

2) Make sure this file exists:

Gothic 1 Remake\G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\G1R_NoChestLocks\enabled.txt

3) If your UE4SS setup uses mods.txt, add:

G1R_NoChestLocks : 1

4) Launch the game normally from Steam.

Requirements

- UE4SS (https://github.com/UE4SS-RE/RE-UE4SS/releases/tag/experimental-latest) USE EXPERIMENTAL LATEST

- Main file already includes UE4SS.

- If you already have UE4SS installed, use the Lua-only version instead.

- No administrator launch is required.

Notes

- The mod creates a local lock data cache on first launch:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\G1R_NoChestLocks

- This cache is generated from your installed game files.

If the game updates and something breaks, delete that folder and launch the game again.

- If you report a bug, please include this log file:

Gothic 1 Remake\G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\UE4SS.log

Q: Do Steam achievements still work?

A: Yes, Steam achievements should still work.

Q: Can I launch the game from Steam?

A: Yes. Install the mod, then launch the game normally from Steam.

Q: Does this open key-only doors?

A: No. It only skip lockpicking minigames.

Q: Does this open quest-locked doors or special locks?

A: No. If the game does not start the lockpicking minigame, the mod does nothing.

Q: Does this remove the lockpicking UI completely?

A: No. The minigame may appear briefly, then the mod skip it automatically.

Q: Can this run on Linux / Steam Deck?

A: Yes, but UE4SS needs a DLL override. Try this Steam launch option:
