Immersive Loading Screens

Description

Let your immersion begin as soon as you press play. This mod trades out the Loading and Spawn screens for more immersive ones by using the game's concept art. It also changes the game's default tips and loading text out with over 40 different facts from Norse mythology and actual Viking historical quotes, as well as game lore from the Valheim Wiki to create an immersive and educational experience.

All facts were carefully chosen to give the player some background knowledge about Norse mythology and how it transitions into the game's unique lore. Some Easter eggs were also laced into the facts to help encourage a particular fan theory as well as one of my own...

Viking Quotes are all historically cited, though their true accuracy is beyond my knowledge.

Only high quality images have been used in this mod.

An alternative version using high quality and immersive screenshots has now been added to the files section.

Future Changes:

• []More variety of images will be added as more concept/fan art is released. If anyone would like to have their art added to this mod, please let me know in the comments.

  []I have already created a list of randomized options for the the "Loading..." text, but am working on a way to randomize them.

  Requirements

  This mod requires the BepInExPack Valheim and the Custom Loading Screens mod to be installed as a prerequisite.

  Manual Installation

  After installing "BepInExPack" and "Custom Loading Screens" you can install my mod by extracting the files into the BepInEx folder within your Valheim game directory.

  NOTE: This mod would not be possible without the Custom Loading Screens mod. So they deserve much thanks and credit.

  If anyone would like to have their art or screenshots added to this mod, please let me know in the comments.

  Known Issues

  • []The old lady and other sample images from Custom Loading Screens should now be overwritten by my mod. If you find that this is not true, please let me know so in the comments page.
