📋 About This Mod
This removes the weight limit with landing gear so you can add as few as you want.
Your bay/ramp has gear attached to it which is enough for the ship now, you won't have to add any extras if you don't want to.
Big thank you to kur00e, whos table this plugin is based on.
Installation (SFSE):
-
[]Install the SFSE.
[
]Extract this so the file is placed as "Starfield\Data\SFSE\Plugins\<Name of file>.dll" IN THE GAME DIRECTORY, NOT THE SAVE DIR.[]Or use a mod manager or whatever. Just check the path.
[]Any plugin/DLL/ASI you have will ALWAYS go in the game dir! The save dir's 'Data' folder is ONLY used to override BA2 files.
[]Launch through SFSE. Or use something like SFSE - Launch on Steam with In-Game Overlay if you want to keep going through Steam.
[]Look for the log! If you don't see a log on launch there's a bigger troubleshooting section in the stickied comment.
Installation (ASI):
-
[]Pick an ASI loader:
[
]SFSE ASI Loader (Which seems kinda silly to use a loader to load a loader to load an ASI.)[]Ultimate-ASI-Loader
[]Extract the ASI file to wherever you loader wants it.
[]Launch as per your loader's instructions.
[]Look for the log! If you don't see a log on launch there's a bigger troubleshooting section in the stickied comment.
The plugin will create "<Name of file>.log" in the same directory as the DLL/ASI on startup if it's in the right spot.
This was made for the Steam version!
The ASI might work on GP, this is untested, either the AoB scan works, or not. I am unable to test this.
This is the same "Bypass Minimum Landing Gear" script from kur00e's CE table here, just done differently as a plugin instead.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust (3,753 endorsements) — this is a must-have for ship builders
- Massive download count (387k+) proves it's widely used and stable
- Simple concept that solves a real annoyance for ship design
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated June 2026 — might not work with future game patches
- Only affects landing gear weight limits, so if you wanted more ship mods, this is just one piece
For Starfield ship builders who hate being forced to add heavy landing gear just to meet weight requirements. If you're into creating sleek, minimal ships, this mod is a no-brainer. Skip if you don't build ships or want more comprehensive ship overhauls.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have Starfield's plugin system enabled (via StarfieldCustom.ini) before installing.
- Since it's a plugin, use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to keep track of it.
- Test your ship build after installing to ensure landing gear placement still works as expected.
