📋 About This Mod

This is the second, more correct, option for solving the problem of door placement.

The game will no longer place doors on its own.

You do not need to persuade her with the help of “recommendations” to install the door the way you need.

You can, for example, not put doors in a particular compartment and it will remain isolated from the rest of the ship.

Note for version 1. 2

The insert elements have been completely redesigned. Until this moment, they had a certain thickness, this thickness could cause an error, a displacement, during assembly. Especially if the ship is large. I think that this accumulating offset could lead to both the loss of connectivity of the cockpit-landing and the “destruction” of the internal cell. I'm sorry, but the redesign of the elements will lead to the fact that when upgrade to version 1. 2, the connectivity between the HABs will be broken, you will have to re-connect all the HABs, elements, landing, cockpit and docking. Now the insert elements have no thickness, they are completely invisible to the shipbuilder. I tested this on ~30 HABs lined up (in all directions). Zero parasitic offset. Visually, the element is now much thicker, and now it does not sink into the Hope HABs on the upper side, and also snap normally to the Magelan cabin on the Aft side.

I also found another error. This is a shipbuilder error that occurs when a Snap Node with an offset is used on an object with a Scale parameter other than 1. In this case, the position of the attachment via G and manually is different. When setting an element manually (with the mouse), shipbuilder does not apply Scale to the SnapNode offset. Therefore, I had to abandon scaling the element model, it again has 100% scale. I'll try to figure out how to improve its visibility. This will not in any way affect the element snapping system itself. The distance between Snap Nodes of my elements is now strictly zero. And judging by my tests, this works great.
