📋 About This Mod
About
This is a Content Patcher conversion of DeonDF's Earthy Ridgeside recolor mod. No replacing of Ridgeside assets necessary! Once installed into your Mods folder, this mod with automatically recolor all of the buildings and interiors of Ridgeside Village to match the aesthetic of DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolour. Uploaded with permission from DeonDF, the original author! In addition to their assets, this mod also includes new recolors of assets added in more recent updates to Ridgeside Village.
Installation and Removal
This mod works the same as any other, and it can be added or removed at any time. Simply download, unzip, and place in your Mods folder.
Compatibility
Should be compatible with all mods, except for those that also edit the appearance of Ridgeside maps. It's recommended to be used alongside the original Earthy mods, but it is not required. This mod will still work if you're using a different map recolor (or none at all).
Use in combination with the newest version of Ridgeside Village (currently 2. 5. 12) in order to ensure there are no tilesheet discrepancies.
Mobile compatibility is untested, but should theoretically work (but if it doesn't there's not much I can do about it, since I don't have access to an Android phone).
Future Plans
I (Vinilla) plan to maintain this mod for the forseeable future, updating it as Ridgeside updates come out and add new assets.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 1,527 endorsements and over 133k downloads.
- Recent update (October 2025) means it's likely compatible with current game versions.
- Gives Ridgeside Village a cohesive, natural look that blends with the base game's aesthetic.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects visuals—no gameplay changes, so if you're looking for new content, this isn't it.
For Stardew Valley players who use the Ridgeside Village expansion and want a more muted, earthy color scheme that fits the base game's vibe. If you're a fan of visual overhauls that keep things subtle, this is a solid pick. Skip if you don't use Ridgeside Village or prefer the original bright colors.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the Ridgeside Village mod installed first, as this recolor only applies to that area.
- Use a mod manager like Stardrop or Vortex to handle Content Patcher mods easily—just drop the zip and enable.
- If you're not seeing the recolor, double-check that Content Patcher is updated and that the mod is enabled in your mod list.
