📋 About This Mod
Freighter Salvage Terminals v4. 7
Adds Multitool / Ship Salvage Terminals to the rear of your Freighter's Hanger Teleport Lift Area and Pirate Freighters where there are accessible stairs for easy access. The terminals have been scaled down very slightly in order to fit better within the selected area.
Inspired by The Lich's original mod: Freighter Ship Salvage, although that mod no longer works due to the changes to Freighter layouts.
So, decided to fix that as it is too useful to not have it :)

Adds Multitool and Ship Salvage Terminals to the rear of your Freighter's or Pirate Freighter's Hanger Teleport Lift Area. A focused QoL addition for No Man's Sky players who want convenient access to salvage functions while on their freighter.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Handy QoL addition—no more trekking across the system to scrap ships or multitools.
- Works on both regular and Pirate Freighters, so it covers most players.
- Solid community traction: 364 endorsements and over 11k downloads show it's proven useful.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated June 2026—might not be updated for future game patches, so watch for breakage.
- Only adds terminals to the hangar lift area—if you wanted them elsewhere, this mod won't help.
For No Man's Sky players who spend a lot of time on their freighter and want quick access to salvage without flying to a space station. Skip if you rarely salvage ships or multitools, or if you prefer a more immersive, less convenient experience.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the AMUMSS mod builder or a mod manager like Vortex to install this properly, since NMS mods often require file merging.
- If you're using other freighter mods, check for conflicts—this mod edits the hangar area, so overlapping edits could cause issues.
- After installing, load your save and head to your freighter's hangar to see the new terminals near the teleport lift.
