Almost Perfect Flight

Ship flight and landings in NMS have always troubled me. So, after much experimenting I offer this humble mod for your enjoyment

Notes:

There are now also two versions of Almost Perfect Flight. A Lite version with less aggressive multipliers for those who prefer a closer to vanilla experience and is the recommended version to use. Mini-warping will now disengage when entering a planet atmosphere so you should no longer impact the terrain :)

Lite Boosts

boostMult = 1. 25

boostMxSp = 2. 5

speedMult = 1. 5

thrstMult = 1. 5

warpSMult = 2. 2

And the Full version retaining all the previous settings with the following multipliers applied. This can be a little twitchy depending on your ships manoeuvrability bonus.

Full Boosts

_boostMult = 1. 5

_boostMxSp = 2. 0

_speedMult = 2. 5

_thrstMult = 1. 5

_warpSMult = 2. 5

Hopefully these changes will cater to both those whom enjoy a 'closer to vanilla' experience with the benefit of 'hover-in-place' and much smoother landings. And those who just want fast ships, hover-in-place, softer landings with 'slightly' overclocked multipliers to get around just that bit quicker)

  Installing No Man's Sky Mods (Steam).

  Default Steam installation location:

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS

  Custom Steam installation location:

  E:\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS

  1. Browse to the "No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA" folder.

  2. Ensure there is a folder named MODS (Uppercase!) within, if not create it!

  3. Place the <modname> folder into the GAMEDATA\MODS folder.

  4. (Not necessary but can help when installing new mods).

  Optionally delete the file: GCMODSETTINGS. MXML from No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS
