📋 About This Mod
Adds the gramophone (or any items) to Yabbis's stock (or any other shop's).
Lack of a gramophone got you ready to howl at the Howling Hammer? Are your muse trees muse-less and your animals music-less? Forget Ridge. Your buddy Yabbis has got you covered!
What it does
Shops in Moonlight Peaks only show a few items a day, picked at random from a very large pool. Some things come up so rarely that players go years without ever seeing them. The gramophone is one such infamous case — needed to grow a muse tree, lovely for your animals, but locked behind prayers and pleas to RNGesus.
This mod puts item(s) of your choosing into a shopkeeper's stock, so it's always there.
-
[]Buy as many as you like. A shop's normal daily stock vanishes once you buy it. Items added by this mod never run out.[/]
[]Normal prices. You pay exactly what a shopkeeper would have charged, markups included.[/]
[]Nothing is taken away. Your item is added alongside the shop's usual selection. The random rotation carries on as normal.[/]
[]Touches no game files. No asset or save editing. Delete the DLL and the shop goes back to normal. Bought items will remain in your inventory (i.e., don't buy stuff you shouldn't have).[/]
Installation instructions
-
[]Install BepInEx (If this is your first time using Bepinex, run the game once so it creates its folders).[/]
[]Drop AlwaysInStock.dll into BepInEx\plugins\[/]
[]Launch the game. This creates the config file.[/]
[]Play. Yabbis has a gramophone.[/]
[]If you want to add different items or add them to a different shop: quit the game, edit the config, then launch the game again.[/]
Stocking something else
Edit BepInEx\config\moonlightpeaks.alwaysinstock.cfg. Everything you need to fill it in is in AlwaysInStock_Reference.xlsx, under optional files — one sheet lists every shopkeeper and the sections their shop uses, another lists every item worth stocking.
Shopkeeper — who sells it. Copy it from the Shops sheet exactly, including the @.
(Note: Names are first name then surname: @RidgeLogan, not @LoganRidge. This is the opposite of how the game names many of its other files)
CategoryName — which section of the shop it goes in, meaning the tabs along the top of the shop window. The Shops sheet lists what each shop normally has, but you're not limited to those: name a section a shop doesn't have and the mod will add that section for you. Yabbis is an odd one, by the way (and not just because of all the eyes) — his stall has one section and the game calls it ShopCategory_Spells, despite him selling no spells whatsoever.
ItemName — what to sell. Copy it from the Items sheet.
AdditionalItemNames — optional, and it does two useful things.
-
[]Colours. If your item comes in more than one colour, the Items sheet has the others listed for you, already comma separated and ready to paste. Do that and the item turns up in the shop with its colours as selectable options, just like the game normally presents colour choices. That's why the default config mentions the red gramophone as well as the purple — it's one gramophone on the shelf, and you choose the colour when you buy it.[/]
[]More items. You can also list entirely unrelated items here, separated by commas. They are simply added to that shopkeeper's stock too. Stock one thing or stock ten. For example, the Custom config image of this mod has these items added:[/]
Everything you list goes to the same shopkeeper and the same section. One custom added item at Yabbis's and a different one at Ridge's is not possible in a single run. But you can change the config freely between game restarts to add different items to a different shop.
