📋 About This Mod
Think the wardrobe is nice, but kinda unrealistic? Find yourself on the go, swapping outfit more times than.. well, than what is useful? This will help you stop. For realz, kill that addiction! ( * ^ *) ノシ
- Introduction -
This mod locks down what items can be used through the wardrobe unless it accessed through the in-game wardrobes in apartments etc.
Basically: if you have it in your inventory, you can wear it. If you open a wardrobe through an in-game interaction you can put on anything that is in your stash or in your inventory. If not available, the equip will be reverted.
Worn items will be placed in inventory and locked from further interaction until you un-equip them.
TL;DR: Helps with the outfit swap addictions! ᐠ( ᐛ )ᐟ
- Options -
Thread Locker is configured in the in-game popup from the Redscript Config Framework - press its hotkey (F8 by default) and pick Thread Locker from the list. One tab, two sections.

- API -
Other mods can talk to Thread Locker if they need to coordinate around the whitelist. The canonical use case is a mod that destroys clothing items (Chrome Plating does this for damaged armor) - it calls ReleaseItem before destroying the item so TL doesn't keep a stale entry on the whitelist or leave the engine's Quest tag stuck on the item record.
import ThreadLocker.*
// Singleton accessor - returns null if TL isn't installed/loaded yet
let tl: ref<ThreadLockerSystem> = ThreadLockerSystem. Get(game);
if !IsDefined(tl) { return; }
tl. IsEnabled() -> Bool // mod on AND session active (post-main-menu)
tl. IsItemLocked(itemTDBID) -> Bool // is this item currently on the carried-items whitelist
tl. IsAtPhysicalWardrobe() -> Bool // V is at a wardrobe right now (full access mode)
tl. ReleaseItem(itemTDBID) -> Void // remove from whitelist + strip any active Quest tag
// call this before destroying a worn item
Calls are safe to make
