📋 About This Mod
- Introduction -
In vanilla you can kill however many cops you want and they will just keep coming unless you hide and let the stars fall off one by one. So. Boooooring.
This mod changes that, now you can actually out-gun them. If you kill enough NCPD but they'll back off. How many depends on where, who you are, what you've done and if your mama likes you. And if you push drugs. For real, yo!
Once they've retreated there'll be a cooldown before they'll come after you again - but watch out because they'll come twice as hard next time!
In Night City you break the NCPD. Except for Maxtac - they break you!
TL;DR: NCPD has body bags to fill. Fill enough and they go home. ( -_-)>--- pewpew
- The Loop -
1. Heat appears (any source - your crimes, false alarms, MA tagging, whatever).
2. NCPD spawns and engages.
3. You kill cops and each kill increments a chase counter.
4. If the counter hits the district threshold NCPD will try to retreat.
5. Heat blinks off and the spawned NCPD despawn or wander off.
6. Cooldown timer starts.
7. If you do more crimes after cooldown they'll come back, but twice as hard, or worse.
If MaxTac is on the field (heat 4+) then retreat is never called. You're doomed, choom!
- District Thresholds -
How many cops you have to kill before NCPD pulls back depends on where you are.
-
[]City Center / Corpo Plaza / Downtown - 12 kills[/]
[]Heywood / Westbrook / Wellsprings / Glen - 8 kills[/]
[]Watson / Kabuki / Santo Domingo / Northside / Arroyo - 6 kills[/]
[]Pacifica / Badlands / Coastview - 3 kills[/]
[]Dogtown - No NCPD here choom and the Barghest don't back down.[/]
All thresholds are configurable.
- Dynamic Cooldown -
After NCPD retreats, they don't come back for a while. How long depends on three multipliers stacked on the district base:
Cooldown = baseDistrict x NCRPopulationMult x StreetCredMult x KnownTargetMult
Base hours per district (in-game time):
-
[]City Center: 8h[/]
[]Heywood: 16h[/]
[]Watson: 24h[/]
[]Pacifica: 48h[/]
NCR population multiplier (only if Night City Remembers is installed):
[]Full Strength: 0. 5x[/]
[]Operational: 0. 75x[/]
[]Strained: 1. 0x[/]
[]Depleted: 1. 5x[/]
[]Fractured: 2. 0x[/]
[]Remnants: 3. 0x[/]
[]Last Stand: 5. 0x[/]
-
[]City Center: 8h[/]
