📋 About This Mod
THIS MOD IS NOT SUPPORTED AND IS POSSIBLY BROKEN. You can try it out if you want, but it probably isn't working in the latest updates.
DISCLAIMER: This mod is just an upload of a few lines of code that Scissors made for me and I dropped in a text file. I do not have the coding knowledge to modify or add new features.
I've always been annoyed with having to go into my inventory and having to go to each weapon to unequip the silencer every time I was spotted, just so I can get the base weapon damage. At first, I wanted to add in a hotkey to toggle the silencer on/off easily without having to go through any menus. But, since I have no coding ability at all, I decided to instead just remove the damage penalty. So, I asked Scissors to write the code for me and here we are XD.
Make sure you have CET installed and just drop the contents in the game's directory.
Credits to Scissors for writing the code!
This small gameplay mod for Fallout 4 removes the damage penalty applied when equipping silencers, making suppressed weapons hit as hard as their unsuppressed counterparts. With 400 endorsements and 7,830 downloads, it's a straightforward tweak for stealth players who want to keep their damage output without sacrificing stealth.

For stealth players who hate losing damage when using silencers. If you're tired of suppressed weapons feeling weaker and want a simple fix, this is for you. Skip if you want more comprehensive weapon rebalancing or if you're on the latest game version and worry about compatibility.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Place the mod file in your Fallout 4 Data folder or use a mod manager like Vortex for easy installation.
- Since the mod is unsupported, test it early in your playthrough to ensure it works with your current load order.
- If you use other weapon balance mods, load this one after them to ensure the silencer penalty removal takes effect.
