📋 About This Mod

NCPD Scanner missions used to have separate icons for each mission type: Assaults, Suspected Crime Activity and Reported Crimes. This returns to that pre-2. 0 behavior. Very useful since Reported Crimes have hidden stashes while Suspected Crimes often have special rewards like iconic weapons but they can't be seen among all the Assault In Progress missions!

There's a menu that lets you turn off each of the old icon types to use the generic new icon instead.

In 2. 0 and later the skull map icon used for Suspected Organized Crime Activity has unfortunately been replaced with a new 3-head icon.  The new icon is also used for new Dogtown missions and will be used in this mod.  It's a pity they didn't keep the old one around while adding the Dogtown variant.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Massive community trust: 836 endorsements and 461k downloads show this mod is widely used and appreciated.
  • Solves a real QoL issue: distinguishing mission types on the map saves time for completionists and stash hunters.
  • Lightweight and focused: does one thing and does it well, no bloat or extra features to fiddle with.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in October 2024 — if the game has had patches since then, there's a risk of incompatibility, though the mod's simplicity likely keeps it working.
  • Only affects map icons; if you were hoping for gameplay changes or new missions, this isn't for you.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Cyberpunk 2077 players who want to quickly spot Reported Crimes missions to grab hidden stashes without checking every icon. Also great for anyone who preferred the pre-2.0 map clarity. Skip if you're fine with the current unified icons or want gameplay-altering mods.
