What this mod does:
This mod adjusts the stats of the Probe Droid so that there is a reason to ever build it over the other scout options. The Probe Droid is now 92. 5% faster, gains access to mark 2 sensors, and gains best-in-class radar range.
The Probe Droid still is the lowest health S-class ship in the game (by far), has no shields, and is functionally unarmed, but now it better serves its role as a cheap disposable scout. It finally has a valid niche.
Installation
:Extract the zip file and then copy the "starwarsmod_betterprobedroid" folder to ...\X4 Foundations\extensions\ with the rest of your mods.
This is a standalone mod and should not be put inside your "starwarsmod_m1" folder.
