Recaps when loading a game are not affected, those are not scripted and can't be easily changed.
As a script mod, it doesn't delete any files and will remain active after an update.
It should also be pretty forward compatible with other future menu mods, because it doesn't alter the main menu directly.
Installation:
A. Use Vortex
B. Extract the contents of the zip file (the folder "modSkipMovies") into GAMEDIR\Mods.
If you don't have a "Mods" folder, create it first.
