📋 About This Mod
Tired of most enemies targeting Geralt even when his allies are attacking them? Then this mod is for you!
All my mods were made in OG (
1. 31/1. 32 game version), and then the changes were transferred to NG (
4. 04+ game version) scripts. I always post
two separate versions in
one archive if necessary. If there is only one version in the archive, it is universal. If the mod is only for OG, I will especially note this.
If you use a mod manager, you should repack the archive with the mod, leaving in it only what is suitable for your version of the game. Why don't I post separate archives? It's more convenient for me.
Description in English:
1. NPCs will now target the last attacker, with a few exceptions:
- If the attacker is an ally of the NPC, enemies will not switch targets. This prevents accidental infighting, especially since they cannot deal damage to each other.
- Geralt’s bombs: Enemies not engaged with Geralt won’t immediately recognize him as the one who threw the explosive, due to the disorientation caused by the blast.
- If there is only one enemy left, and your ally is a sorceress, the enemy will keep focusing on Geralt to avoid making the fight too easy.
2. Fixed a bug where some quest NPCs continued to attack Geralt, even under the effect of the "Puppet" sign, although they couldn’t cause any damage. Now, "Puppet" cancels this behavior.
3. Confusion and "Puppet" now cancel each other out to avoid some unwanted effects when both statuses are applied to the same NPC.
4. The basic Axii effect doesn't work correctly on some opponents. Some of them are immune to this effect, so you will never see this (unless some mod cancels vanilla immunity), but some oddities can also be seen in vanilla. I fixed it in all cases.
Incorrect cases of the effect working in vanilla:
- All types of giants – the effect was applied to them, but did nothing. Now it will slow down their movements by 90%.
- Silvans – the effect was applied to them, but did nothing. Now their attacks will be interrupted, and their movements will slow down by 70%.
- The scolopendromorphs were just hiding underground. They will now stop and stop attacking while the effect is still in effect.
- The trolls only lost their balance for a second, but then they continued their attacks. They will now stop and stop attacking while the effect continues.
There is also a built-in fix using similar methods for all other opponents who usually have immunity to the basic Axii. It is necessary in combination with mods that remove immunity to this effect (for ex
