Configurable Free Sprint Time

Requires game version 4. 04a_REDkit_Update_2 (the latest version at the time of this mod’s release).

Regardless of the setting, sprinting outside of combat does not consume stamina. (This is the game's original behavior.)

In the vanilla game, sprinting during combat consumes stamina. However, if your stamina is full, you can sprint for 3 seconds without consuming stamina.

This mod allows you to freely configure that free sprint time anywhere between 0 and 100 seconds.

Open the ESC menu and go to OPTIONS -> MODS -> Configurable Free Sprint Time.

  • []Use The Witcher 3 Mod Manager. (I haven't tested it with Vortex. If you installed the mod using Vortex, please follow the instructions from the second step onward in the Manual Install section.)

    []Download the main file and drop it into The Witcher 3 Mod Manager to install.

  Manual Install
  • []Download the main file, unzip it, and drop the "bin" and "mods" folders inside it into your game's main directory. (The game's main directory is the directory where folders such as "bin", "content", and "dlc" are located.)

    []Enabling mod options: Edit "dx11filelist.txt" and "dx12filelist.txt" located in " ...\'Game Directory'\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc" and add "modConfigurableFreeSprintTime_MrCK;" to the list. (Menu Filelist Updater allows you to automate this step.)

  Uninstall
  • []Delete files you added to the game.

    []If you uninstalled manually, delete the xml file names you added to "dx11filelist.txt" and "dx12filelist.txt". (Menu Filelist Updater allows you to automate this step.)

  Update
  • []Method 1: Reinstall

    []Uninstall the old version.

    []Install the new version.

  []Method 2: Overwrite
  • []Check the CHANGELOGS for files that have been deleted, renamed, or changed directories, and remove them from the old installed versions.

  • Drop the new version folder into the game's main directory, overwriting the existing files.

    The in-game menu can only properly display up to 9 entries at a time.
