BetterMap — Improved Map Labels for StarRupture

Improves the in-game map by displaying custom Base Core names alongside the default marker.

Client-side only

What It Does

By default, every Base Core on the map is simply labelled "Base Core", even if the owner has given it a custom name.

BetterMap displays the custom Base Core name beneath the default label, making it much easier to identify player bases at a glance.

Custom names update automatically whenever a Base Core is renamed, with no need to reopen the map.

Installation

• []Download the latest file from the Files tab.

  []Open the ZIP file.

  []Copy the contents of the included Plugins folder into:

  "StarRupture\Binaries\Win64\ModLoader\Plugins"

  []Launch the game once to generate the config file.

  []Open:

  "Plugins\config\BetterMap.ini"

  "Enabled=1"[/]

  Config file:

  • []Enabled — enable or disable the plugin (0 or 1)[/]

    Troubleshooting

    • []Base Core still shows the default name — ensure the plugin is enabled, then check "modloader.log" for BetterMap debug messages.

      []Plugin not loading — check "modloader.log in Binaries\Win64"[/]
