BetterCheats — Cheat Menu for StarRupture

Adds a powerful in-game cheat menu with categories covering player abilities, world settings, machinery, enemies, item spawning, and more.

Client-side only

This mod is being actively developed, not all cheat options are ready.  Cheat menus displayed in the screenshots are available.

What It Does

BetterCheats adds an in-game menu that provides access to a wide range of cheats and gameplay modifiers.

The menu is only available while playing a single-player world and can be opened at any time with the configured hotkey.

Available categories include:

• []World — environment and wave controls[/]

  []Player — attributes, movement, teleportation, building, skills, tools, weapons, and item spawning[/]

  []Machinery — crafting, power, logistic drones, and rail drones[/]

  []Enemies — enemy-related cheats and controls[/]

  []Power  — allows the editing of all power generators and consumers.[/]

  []Misc — additional utility features[/]

  Many cheats remain active even after closing the menu, allowing continuous effects such as stat locks, power overrides, and world modifications.

  Persistent Save Settings

  Cheat settings are saved separately for each save game.

  When you load a world, BetterCheats automatically restores any previously saved cheat settings for that session.

  This allows different saves to maintain different cheat configurations.

  Installation

  • []Download the latest file from the Files tab[/]

    []Open the ZIP file[/]

    []Copy the contents of the included Plugins folder into:

    "StarRupture\Binaries\Win64\ModLoader\Plugins"[/]

    []Launch the game[/]

    []Press F10 (default) while in a single-player world to open the menu[/]

    Configuration

    Config file:

    "Plugins\config\BetterCheats.ini"

    • []Enabled — enable or disable the plugin[/]

      []ToggleKey — key used to open and close the menu (default: F10)[/]

      The menu hotkey can also be changed through the ModLoader keybind settings.

      Troubleshooting

      • []Menu does not appear — the menu only works while loaded into a single-player world; also ensure the plugin is enabled[/]

        []Hotkey does nothing — check the configured keybind in the ModLoader settings[/]

        []Saved cheat settings are not restored — check "modloader.log" for errors</li>[/]

        []Plugin not loading — check "modloader.log in Binaries\Win64\"</li>[/]

        []Issues after a game update — some features may require a plugin update after major game patches</li>[/]
