BetterDrone — Extended Drone Limits for StarRupture

Extends building drone limits beyond the default values, fully configurable without modifying game files. All values can be edited live in game using the ModLoaders F2 menu.

What It Does

BetterDrone increases the limits of the building drone and applies your configured values automatically each time the game runs.

You can customise:

• []Drone movement speed[/]

  []Maximum horizontal range[/]

  []Maximum vertical range[/]

  []Maximum rail length[/]

  []Allows the drone in places it should not usually be called.

  Note: while the drone can go out during ruptures, the drone itself seems to take damage and dies.  I don't see me patching this as I dont know why you would want to build during this wave type anyways.[/]

  []Allows the drone to interact with buildings opening their UIs like you would do normally on foot[/]

  Warning indicators are automatically adjusted to match your configured limits.

  Configuration

  Config file:

  "Plugins\config\BetterDrone.ini"

  The file is generated on first launch using the game’s default values.

  • []SpeedPerSec — movement speed (cm/s, max 4000)[/]

    []MaxRadius — horizontal range (cm)[/]

    []MaxHeight — vertical range (cm)[/]

    []MaxRailLength — rail length (cm)[/]

    Changes are applied live while the game is running — no restart required.

    All values persist between game restarts.

    Installation

    • []Download the latest file from the Files tab[/]

      []Open the ZIP file[/]

      []Copy the contents of the included Plugins folder into:

      "StarRupture\Binaries\Win64\ModLoader\Plugins"[/]

      []Launch the game once to generate the config file[/]

      []Edit:

      "Plugins\config\BetterDrone.ini"

      to your desired values[/]

      Troubleshooting

      • []Values not changing — check "modloader.log in Binaries\Win64\" for errors[/]

        []Plugin not loading — ensure ModLoader is installed and the plugin is in the Plugins folder[/]
