📋 About This Mod
Hello and welcome, everyone!
This mod combines my Slightly Cuter Character Sprites and Slightly Edited Portraits mods, and gives characters seasonal outfits. Mods with the same aesthetic are also available for East Scarp and Stardew Valley Expanded.
This mod was heavily inspired by the dynamic NPC clothing system from Longevity and Seasonal Villager Outfits. All villagers have one outfit per season (plus a winter outdoor variation), as well as Flower Dance and Spirit's Eve costumes. Spouses also have outfits for all additional festivals.
The farmer can also be configured to change into seasonal outfits and wear long or short-sleeved clothing, as well as boots or half-shoes.
I highly recommend using Generic Mod Config Menu to change this mod's settings. It provides a UI that makes applying changes easier and helps prevent errors. Since version 6. 1. 0, every setting includes a description explaining its function, available options, and default value.
Here are some settings that require special consideration:
WinterClothing
Affects which winter assets are used. Choose IndoorAndOutdoor if you want NPCs to bundle up when going outside. Consider setting this to IndoorOnly or OutdoorOnly if you notice issues during winter in multiplayer.
SlightlyCuterNPC
Enables slightly cuter assets for a given NPC. Example: set SlightlyCuterAbigail to false if you do not wish to use her cuter version. Neither the portrait nor sprite will be loaded. If you use other mods that edit NPC portraits or sprites, make sure to disable the affected NPCs.
SlightlyCuterFarmer
Edits the farmer sprites to match the Slightly Cuter Aesthetic. The options below REQUIRE this setting to be enabled. Disable this option if you use other mods that edit the farmer's base assets, such as Get Glam and Soft Farmer.
HideFarmerNose
A separate toggle that hides the farmer's nose when enabled.
FemaleShoeStyle
Affects the shoe style used by female farmer sprites. Male farmer sprites always use the Flat option. Check the mod images to see an example.
SeasonalFarmerAppearance
Allows the farmer's outfit to change with the seasons. Customize the clothing used for each season using the Shirt and Shoe settings.
LocalClimateOverride
Overrides the farmer's outfit to match the current location's climate. For example, Ginger Island will use summer clothing even if it is winter on the mainland.
Compatibility
This mod is mostly compatible with other mods. Here is what you need to know:
[*]When using another mod that edits portraits and/or sprites, you will need to disable the affected NPCs in the settings. For example
