📋 About This Mod
Want more depth to the Stardew flower ecosystem?
Check out my new Murmur of Bees mod, a Bee House overhaul that lets you give gifts to your bees to upgrade and develop your hive!
Introducing the Perfumery, a new farm building that takes flowers of all kinds and makes perfume out of them. Based on the traditional deg bhapka method, used since ancient times in India and Persia, you can drop off large quantities of flowers into the large metal container on the left side, and your perfumery will turn them into one of five different flavors of perfume, which collect in the smaller jar on the right side. Intended as an early game building, the Perfumery is available from the beginning through Robin's shop and requires:
2000 g
8 Clay
3 Copper Bar
1 Geode
I love the flower-honey system in the game, but I always felt like there could be a little bit more; I appreciate that unlike fruit and vegetable crops, flowers do not store well (due to their unwieldy stacking), so the average 'item to machine to artisan goods' process doesn't feel quite right. To maintain the passive aspect of the honey-flower system, and the short shelf life of flowers (as represented by terrible storage options), my Perfumery takes the form of a building, allowing you to place a whole harvest of flowers in the building at once and just let them process slowly over the next couple weeks. Any process related to flowers also feels like it should be aesthetically pleasing, so rather than limited to one simple perfume bottle, flowers are processed into one of five color themed perfumes:
-
[]the red Romantic Perfume
sells for 90g[/
][]the blue Brisk Perfume
sells for 150g[/]
[]the yellow Cozy Perfume
sells for 300g[/]
[]the orange Rustic Perfume
sells for 450g[/]
[]the pink Mystic Perfume
sells for 650g[/]
The perfumes are not directly descended from one specific flower, but rather the flower's in-game color context tag determines which perfume results. Common colors not represented by the five perfumes above can result in one of a couple appropriate colors (purple flowers make either red or blue perfume).
I've included conversion rules for the most common colors of custom flowers in other mods, so most flowers from Cornucopia, for instance, will still get you a color result that makes sense. For any flowers with colors not specified by my mod (or without a color at all), they will randomly make one of any of the five perfumes.
While they stack better than the base game flowers, all perfumes still have color variations of their own, inspired by the color variations of the flowers used to make them. See if you can collect them all!

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community backing (349 endorsements) and a huge download count (59k+) — clearly a mod people want.
- Adds a fresh production loop for flower hoarders, giving your farm a new purpose.
- Actively updated as of October 2025, so it's likely compatible with recent game patches.
⚠️ Cons
- Description is bare-bones — no details on how the building looks, placement, or if it requires specific flower types.
- No mention of dependencies or compatibility with other farm mods, so you might hit conflicts.
- Only one feature listed — if you're expecting a deep overhaul, this is a single-purpose addition.
For Stardew Valley farmers who want to turn their flower surplus into something profitable and aromatic. If you're into production chains and cosmetic farm buildings, this is a neat little addition. Skip if you want major gameplay changes — this is a focused building mod.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have flowers growing before building the perfumery — you'll need a steady supply to keep production running.
- Check your farm layout for a good spot; the building might take up more space than you expect.
- If you use other building mods, load order can matter — place Perfumery after them to avoid conflicts.
