Heelies (Chill Speed Boost)

Description

When you engage (space by default) your heelies while walking, you'll get a medium speed boost, and slowly decelerate while holding. Release to start walking again.

You can't use your heelies while on your horse, slimed, or tipsy (safety first!)

You need SMAPI 4. 0. 0 or higher to run this! If for some reason you're tethered back to <4 (ie you're on Stardew Valley 1. 5 or earlier), version 0. 2. 2 of this mod should work just fine for you.

0. 4. 0 introduces an optional, off-by-default (the way I like it) stamina drain. To speak to the numbers:

• []the default is 0

  []negative values are treated as 0 (go get an infinite stamina mod if you're trying to break free of the system)

  []0. 5 is good if you're just trying to rebalance the game (should satisfy the remorseful among you)

  []1 is good if you want to be thoughtful about your heelies usage

  []2+ is good if you want to actually make heelies a bit impractical until midgame (i.e. you'll need food)

  0. 3. 0 is here! It boasts full compatibility with Stardew 1. 6 and SMAPI^4. 0. 0. Older versions should still work for the time being, but this one has some notable improvements on top.

    As of 0. 4. 0:

    • []heeliesButton (default "Space"): button for using your new kicks. Comma-separate for multiple bindings, like "Space, RightTrigger". For a full list of options, refer to the Stardew Wiki

      []initialSpeedBoost (default 3. 5): how hard you kick off. I like 3. 5 cause it doesn't feel like a HUGE boost, but you can go nuts. I like 4 as well but maybe you're braver

      []staminaCost (default 0): how much stamina you burn using the heelies. I like it at zero cause I'm just here to hang out, but maybe you want to atone for how much swag you're bringing to Pelican Town. Set it to whatever you like, but I wouldn't go much higher than 2. Values less than zero will be treated as zero.
