📋 About This Mod
This mod adds gorgeous sun beams (or god rays, light beams, or whatever else you want to call them) to the outdoor locations of Stardew Valley. These rays will move throughout the day according to the angle of the sun, change colour as it approaches sunset, and fade away when it gets dark out. They'll move and fade in and out over time so they aren't just staying completely and statically still the whole time.

Performance
This mod is not a demanding mod to run. Seriously! It's just drawing a PNG on top of your screen. In all likelihood, you won't notice any performance decrease in your gameplay at all as a result of this mod. You don't need a fancy graphics card, you don't need a powerful computer, you don't need to worry about performance. Just try it.Configuration
This mod comes with two customizable hotkeys:
-
[]Toggle Location God Rays: Press this hotkey to quickly enable or disable god rays in the location you are currently standing in. Works in indoor locations as well. No default hotkey.
[]Toggle Current Weather: Press this hotkey to quickly enable or disable god rays for the current weather you are standing in. No default hotkey.
The god rays are also customizable to an extent in this mod. You won't be able to change the texture, but you'll be able to change some factors about how the rays appear and where/when they appear. The available settings are:
-
[]Enable God Rays: Whether or not god rays should be drawn on the screen. Default true.
[]Ray Scale: How small or large the god rays appear on the screen. You'll want to adjust this depending on your screen size. Larger rays are more transparent than smaller rays to avoid blinding white lights at high scales. Default 65%.
[]Ray Intensity: How many god rays there are and how densely they appear. Default 4.
[]Ray Animation Speed: The speed at which the rays move around in the sky. Default 20.
[]Ray Opacity Modifier: How much the opacity is multiplied by before final render. Change this if you want them more or less transparent without changing any other settings. Default 1. 2x.
- Fade Under Clouds: If enabled, the rays will fade out when you stand beneath a cloud. Default true.
In v1. 1. 0 and above, you are also able to configure the god rays individually per-weather! This includes the vanilla weathers as well as any modded weathers added via Cloudy Skies (notably, this includes Weather Wonders). When you launch the game and open the GMCM scree
