Dino Expanded is a mod that completely reinvents dinosaurs in Stardew Valley, turning them into a full gameplay path with new species, buildings, machines, items, clothing, and progression.

Dinosaurs

Dino Expanded adds five new dinosaur types, each with its own characteristics:

(I based them on real dinosaurs and designed them in a style that I think suits the logic and art of Vanilla. I also used edible things in the names, following the Pepper Rex theme.)

• Zippy Eggplant (Velociraptor)

• Pepper Rex (Stegosaurus) – vanilla dinosaur

• Corn Horn (Triceratops

• Ladle Neck (Brachiosaurus)

• Chili Chomp (Tyrannosaurus Rex)

• Fin Tart (Spinosaurus)

Important note for existing saves:

If you already have a vanilla dinosaur in a Coop when installing this mod, it will begin to grow and produce normally. However, if the Coop door is opened, the dinosaur will attempt to leave, become stuck in an inaccessible area, and may stop eating or producing.

Recommendation:

Sell any vanilla dinosaurs before opening Coop doors, as dinosaurs cannot be relocated to a different building from the one they were born in.

Dino Hutch (New Building)

A new building designed exclusively for dinosaurs.

• Includes 3 upgrade levels; each upgrade adds a new incubator

• Allows raising all dinosaur types added by this mod

• Animal capacity matches vanilla buildings: 4 (Basic), 8 (Big), 12 (Deluxe)

• Option for clean interior maps (no hay on the floor, no decorative clutter, fixed walls and floors) or the normal version

• Required to incubate dinosaur eggs

• Deluxe upgrade is paintable

• An optional config setting provides a lighter sprite for painting, since the default darker sprite does not recolor well (Recommended to enable only when painting the building)

Unlocking the Dino Hutch:

• Donate a Dinosaur Egg to the Museum

• Claim the reward (another Dinosaur Egg)

• The next day, you will receive a letter from Gunther

• After that, Robin will be able to construct the Dino Hutch
