Mod Authors:
Auto speed has had a few tweaks included to it to include an api for interfacing custom speeds! Now you can use SMAPI's built in api function to adjust added speed for the player so that your mod and auto speed doesn't conflict!To do this simply add this code into your mod when you wish to add in your custom speed:
object api = helper. ModRegistry. GetApi("Omegasis. AutoSpeed");
if (api != null)
helper. Reflection. GetMethod(api, "addSpeedBoost"). Invoke("Your-Unique-ID",#SpeedAmount);
//Replace #SpeedAmount with a number such as 1 or 3!
//Your-Unique-ID is the unique id for your speed boost. An example could be "Omegasis. MyModTest. QuickSprint"
...and whenever you wish to remove your added speed use this code:
object api = helper. ModRegistry. GetApi("Omegasis. AutoSpeed");
if (api != null)
helper. Reflection. GetMethod(api, "removeSpeedBoost"). Invoke("Your-Unique-ID");
//Use the unique key you used to add in your speed boost to remove it!

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust (1,805 endorsements) – this is a proven mod
- Saves you from typing console commands every session
- Simple concept, likely zero-config – just install and go
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated March 2024 – might not be compatible with the latest Stardew Valley patches
- No documentation on how to configure or uninstall – could be a pain if you want to revert
For Stardew Valley players who find the default walking speed too slow and want a hassle-free boost without fiddling with console commands. Perfect for farmers who spend a lot of time traversing the map. Skip if you prefer manual control over speed or want adjustable settings – this mod's specifics are unclear.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure SMAPI is installed and up to date before adding this mod – it's required to run any SMAPI mod.
- After installing, launch the game via SMAPI to ensure the mod loads correctly.
- If you want to adjust speed, look for a config file in the mod folder – but the description doesn't mention one, so it might be fixed.
