When Pamela Pilar Rojas was sixteen, her parents took her to the College of Winterhold and enrolled her in a course of study that would see her well on her way to becoming a marvelous mage.  Before they left the village they told everyone that Pamela was going to school to learn how to strengthen her Restoration magic.  And she was.  But she was also going to school to lean how to improve her Conjuration magic and her Destruction magic.  She was already a gifted dual-wielding swordswoman, and she wore a full set of Light Armor as if it weighed no more than a silk dress.

Pamela proved to be a capable scholar.

The week before she celebrated her twenty-first birthday, Pamela was sitting in her dorm room when she got word that she'd been summoned by the Arch Mage.  Once she'd been ushered into his august presence, she was surprised to learn that the Arch Mage was convinced that she'd gone as far as her professors could take her, and that it was time for her to graduate from the College.  Brooking no rebuttals, the Arch Mage kindly told her that it was his intention to present her diploma to her, just as soon as she could arrange to have her parents make the journey to Winterhold.  Naturally, Panela was surprised and delighted.  When the Arch Mage offered his hand to shake, she gave him a beautiful smile and a respectful handshake.

Eager to tell her parents, she hastened to town where sent a message home via the Skyrim Courier Service, alerting them to her impending graduation.

Three days later, her parents arrived in Winterhold.  After many hugs and kisses, Pamela followed them into the Frozen Hearth Inn where she watched as her father spoke to the Innkeeper and rented a cozy room.

The next morning, she escorted her parents to the College where she introduced them to her professors and to the Arch Mage.  Using the Hall of Elements for the ceremony, the Arch Mage officially presented Pamela with her diploma.  It was during the following reception that Pamela asked her parents to agree to let her walk home instead of riding home in the carriage that they'd hired to carry them and her belongings back to their village.  Much to her delight, the Arch Mage himself championed the idea.  Bowing to the Arch Mage's superior wisdom, and trusting in Pamela's good sense and her vastly improved magical abilities to keep her safe, Pamela's parents agreed to let their only child walk home.  Alone.

Thus it was that the freshly-minted college graduate began her fateful journey.  Wearing a serviceable set of Light Armor and carrying a pair of one-handed swords, Pamela made her departure as the sun began to kiss the earth with its
