Description

Originally released in 1988 by Williams Electronics, NARC was a groundbreaking arcade title known for its intense run-and-gun gameplay, digitized characters, explosive action, and over-the-top futuristic take on the fight against crime. Players took control of law enforcement agents Max Force and Hit Man as they battled through a crime-filled city, taking on criminals, gangs, and the powerful drug organization behind the chaos. With its gritty presentation, memorable visuals, and arcade-style action, NARC became one of the standout titles of the late 80s arcade scene.

This mod replaces the vanilla cabinets Maze Munch, Orc Invaders, and Rampart Rage.

This project was created with original artwork techniques and manual design work. No AI-generated artwork was used in the creation of this mod. The custom visuals were made using original NARC sprites, game assets, and design elements to stay faithful to the original 1988 arcade cabinet.

The goal of this project was to recreate the feeling of discovering a classic arcade cabinet on the floor of an 80s arcade — complete with the sounds, visuals, and atmosphere that made NARC memorable.
