As promised, Hugo’s Rental Vault 2. 0 is finally here — bigger, better, and packed with thousands of new movies for your retro video store. 

A massive handcrafted expansion featuring 11,176 REAL MOVIES, with individual cover art, designed to recreate the ultimate retro video store experience in Retro Rewind.

The catalog was created using the Retro Rewind Movie Workshop, bringing together thousands of real films across a wide range of genres and eras. The goal is to create a large, authentic and varied rental catalog that makes every store feel different while greatly expanding the game's movie selection.

The collection covers everything from classic cinema to modern releases, with a strong focus on building a diverse and immersive video store library.

This is Version 2. 0, a major expansion over the original Hugo's Rental Vault and part of an ongoing project to build a large-scale movie database for Retro Rewind.

Installation instructions

Download the file, extract it, and move the

.pakfile to:

...\RetroRewind\Content\Paks\~modsDo not combine this with other large movie database mods unless you know they are compatible.

Catalog Philosophy

The catalog was built with variety, progression and replayability in mind.

Films from the 1970s and earlier are classified as Old, while films released between 2007 and 2009 are classified as New Releases.

The New Releases section contains 427 titles, giving the player a substantial selection of newer movies as the store progresses through the game's timeline.

A future version is also planned with a different timeline structure, featuring movies released up to 1999, with 1999 titles serving as the New Releases.
