📋 About This Mod
A custom arcade cabinet recreation inspired by the original 1986 arcade classic Outrun. This mod replaces the vanilla cabinets Maze Munch, Orc Invaders, and Rampart Rage as well full custom audio for the attract mode and NPC gameplay audio
Description
This mod replaces the vanilla arcade cabinets in Retro Rewind (Maze Munch, Orc Invaders and Rampart Rage) with cabinets based on OutRun, the classic arcade racing game originally released by SEGA in 1986.
OutRun became well known for its fast-paced driving, colorful environments, branching routes, and iconic soundtrack. I wanted to bring some of that classic 1980s arcade style into Retro Rewind while still making the cabinets feel natural in the game's arcade setting.
The mod also includes custom catalog photos showing the OutRun cabinet, along with custom attract mode audio that stays faithful to the original game. When an NPC interacts with the cabinet, you'll also hear official OutRun gameplay audio, helping the machine feel more authentic and alive in the arcade.
