What is SecurityCam?

For anyone who misses hopping on the counter to get that perfect security camera view.

SecurityCam is a simple mod for Retro Rewind - Video Store Simulator that adds a toggleable surveillance-style view using the existing player camera.

It simply raises and angles the existing player camera from wherever you are standing, creating a clean surveillance camera feeling without adding extra visual effects.

When enabled, player movement and jumping are locked while the mode is active, but mouse look remains enabled so you can still look around freely from that spot.

It also includes smooth zoom controls while the mode is active.

  ⚠ Note:

  • []This mod changes the existing player camera. It does not spawn a separate camera object in the world.[/]

    []The camera height was mainly tested for use inside the video club rooms.[/]

    []If anything feels stuck after using the mod, press F8 to trigger the emergency reset.[/]

    Known Issues:

    • []SecurityCam was mainly tested for use inside the video club rooms. Using it in tighter areas, such as the bathroom or the store stairs, is not recommended because the raised camera height may clip into the ceiling, walls, or nearby level geometry and reveal gaps or seams.[/]

      []Zooming in with Q or zooming out with E while moving the camera view with the mouse can look rough or uncomfortable. This is not recommended for players sensitive to motion sickness or nausea.[/]

      []Before quitting the game, it is recommended to disable SecurityCam with CTRL + F or use F8 to reset. Quitting while SecurityCam is still active may cause a crash dump in some cases.[/]

      How to Install SecurityCam for Retro Rewind - Video Store Simulator

      Retro Rewind - Video Store Simulator must be installed and launched once before using this mod.

      Step 1: Install UE4SS for Retro Rewind

      • []SecurityCam requires UE4SS for Retro Rewind to run.[/]

        []Install UE4SS first by following the instructions on that mod page.[/]

        []Once UE4SS is installed, launch the game once to make sure the Mods folder is created.[/]

        Step 2: Install SecurityCam

        • []Download SecurityCamMod_v1. 0.zip.[/]

          []Extract the folder SecurityCam into the UE4SS Mods folder.[/]

          []The final structure should look like this:

          Mods\SecurityCam\enabled.txt

          Mods\SecurityCam\Scripts\main.lua[/]

          []Start the game → SecurityCam will be automatically loaded.[/]
