TES4R Civis Fortify Alchemy Fix

Fix for Fortify Alchemy enchantment doing nothing, if you are equipped with Fortify Alchemy items.

Although UORP dealt somewhat with the issue, their results are quite confusing.

The older Fortify Alchemy enchantment persists (even if is doing nothing) along with another Fortify Alchemy ability which does increase the Alchemy potency.

As result, in your skill window, Alchemy skill will appear boosted x2 despite the fact that only one effect counts.

This mod solves this.

Your Alchemy skill will be boosted accordingly AND will count to creating more powerful potions. The other skills available for that item will also be boosted accordingly, giving you a higher class of respective skills.

See the screenshot where my character having Alchemy 15 sees only one effect of the ingredient and with Ring of Wizardry equipped sees 2 effects of the same ingredient.

In the first screenshot, I have wrongly pointed to the Ring of Treachery instead of Ring of Wizardry.

Ring of Treachery has no Fortify Alchemy enchantment on it.

Consider the mouse pointer hovering over Ring of Wizardry.

For some very mysterious reason Ring of Wortcraft was not included. Fixed.

Before installing this mod:

If you have equipped one/two/three of these items...

Base Ring of Alchemy

Ring of Alchemy

Grand Ring of Alchemy

Apron of the Master Artisan

Cowl of the Druid

Mantle of the Woodsman

Ring of Wizardry

Ring of Wortcraft

... unequip them, make a hard save then fire up again the game from the last hard save.

If you do not do this, you risk having unexpected bad results.

Unzip the Lead Transformer into Gold into:

YourLocation:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data...

... then add TES4RCivisFortifyAlchemyFix.esp to your Plugins.txt

Deinstitutionalization of the mod:

Repeat the steps from "Before installing this mod".

"Do a kareem and hook the mod into the nearest Recycle Bin." J. Sawyer.

Return to your happy life.

Bonus - not particularly related to the purpose of this mod:

1. Added some Fortify Athletics to Phylactery of Litheness. Without it, this amulet is pretty useless, I can craft hundreds of this with Common Soul Gems.

2. Added some Fortify Personality to Knights of the Thorn Medallion for the same reasons as before.
