📋 About This Mod

Fixes a vanilla issue about the Strip lights not showing in certain parts of the map.

INSTALLATION:

It is recommended to install hNVSE and load Strip Lights Region Fix.esm as high as possible in your load order, ideally directly below YUP – Base Game + All DLC.esm (or YUPTTW.esm for TTW users). This is because the mod edits many worldspace records but only modifies region lists, which hNVSE automatically merges. As a result, no compatibility patches are required. Placing the mod high in the load order allows other mods to overwrite it where necessary, which is fine since the region list merging is handled by hNVSE. Nevertheless, you should always review your load order for conflicts whenever you install a new mod.

Recommended loaded order: If using NOPE, place Strip Lights Regions Fix.esm right below NOPE.esm.

DESCRIPTION:

You may have once found yourself in a situation where you are just walking, looking at the Strip lights and all of a sudden they disappear. Like here at the 188 Trading Post:

Here's an explanation on why this happen, the game use Regions to decide what models to show depending on where you are, the pictures below is a representation of the regions where the Strip Lights models are visible (note that this is not 100% accurate, it's just to give you an idea of how this works):

Notice the white dot and how it's not in any region, this is 188 Trading Post, this is why the lights don't show in the first screenshot.

What the mod does now is create a new region that cover the whole map like this:

This mean the Strip lights will appear from anywhere, and you don't have to worry about performances since the new region only affect the Strip lights and nothing else (no building or anything). Here's 188 Trading Post with the mod installed:

DISCLAIMER:

Because of fog rendering, the light pollution will get dimmer the farther you are from it. Which is why the lights can't be seen for the Mojave Outpost. If you're curious you can use Simple Fog Remover to see the light anywhere on the map (they will be very bright however).

CONSISTENT LIGHT POLLUTION:

You may have noticed that the light pollution suddenly switch to a smaller model once you approach the Strip. This optional file provide
