📋 About This Mod
Description:
I searched the nexus for a comprehensive armor texture replacement that I could be happy with, but couldn't find any, so I made my own.
All textures are vanilla upscaled using AI (2048x2048 armors, 1024x1024 helmets and gloves, 512x512 minor junk) and should be a substantial improvement over vanilla in terms of fidelity, and look much better in-game than in the (highly compressed) previews.
These were not done in a batch or automatic process, but were checked manually and in some cases different settings were chosen to make each individual armor look better. I examined each texture for errors and where necessary manual corrections were made (using GIMP/Photoshop).
Technical stuff:
Mipmaps were generated (as vanilla) and I didn't touch the normal maps nor I intend to. Most textures were compressed using BC1 DXT1. All of this means that these should be as performance friendly as possible.
For reference:
Vanilla 1024x1024 textures are 682KB.
MUVAT 2048x2048 textures are mostly 2048KB, some 2724KB.
Latest version:
229 textures done
Please see the comments to know what armor this mod covers. As of version 0. 6, all vault jumpsuit textures have been removed. Download Atompunk Vault Suits - HD Retexture to improve them. They were much better in that mod, so there was no point in keeping my textures available other than to waste your valuable drive space.
Shoutout to Balebandr0 and his awesome Character Kit Remake series of mods!
