📋 About This Mod

Requirements

  • []Latest MGE XE

[]MWSE 2. 1 (included with MGE XE)

Description

In vanilla Morrowind there is a fillbar under the currently equipped enchanted item's icon showing how much charge is left on it. This mod adds a similar bar under the equipped enchanted weapon's icon, so that you can quickly see the charge left on it.

The mod doesn't change the color of the vanilla fillbar, but if you want it to use the same color as this one, change color_magic_fill=200,60,30 to color_magic_fill=53,69,159 in Morrowind.ini

Installation

  • []Make sure you have the latest versions of MGE XE and MWSE 2. 1. MWSE-Update.exe in the Morrowind installation folder will update MWSE to the latest version.

[]Drop the MWSE folder inside your Morrowind/Data files folder or install with a mod organizer.

Incompatibilities

  • []Requires MWSE to work, so it is currently incompatible with OpenMW.

Credits

  • []Thanks to NullCascade and other developers of MWSE.
    🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

HUD Weapon Charge adds a fillbar to the HUD that displays the charge of your currently equipped weapon, positioned under the weapon condition bar. Requires MWSE 2.1. A simple UI enhancement for Morrowind players who want to monitor weapon charge at a glance.

    ✨ Key Features

Adds a fillbar showing the equipped weapon's charge under the weapon condition bar on the HUD.
    Requires MWSE 2.1.

    📊 Pros & Cons

    ✅ Pros

    • Community-approved with 638 endorsements and over 23k downloads.
    • Fills a real gap in Morrowind's UI—no more guessing weapon charge mid-combat.
    • Lightweight and focused; does one thing and does it well.

    ⚠️ Cons

    • Last updated in April 2021—may not be compatible with the latest MWSE versions.
    • Requires MWSE 2.1, so it's not for vanilla purists.
    • No screenshots or detailed description provided, so you're flying blind on visuals.
    🎯 Is This For You?
For Morrowind players who rely on enchanted weapons and want to track charge without opening the inventory. Skip if you play with minimal UI mods or don't use enchanted gear often.
    📦 Install:Medium· 5-10 minutes

    💡 Beginner Tips

    • Make sure you have MWSE 2.1 installed and running before adding this mod—it won't work without it.
    • Use a mod manager like Wrye Mash or Mod Organizer 2 to keep track of your HUD mods and avoid conflicts.
    • If you're using other HUD overhauls, test this mod in a clean save to ensure the fillbar doesn't overlap with other elements.
