Installation info:
These are separate replacers, install whichever you need:
- Download the .rar, extract and put content into MW/Data Files folder, than activate the .esp file
- Mod files do not replace vanilla files, you can disable the mod by deactivating the .esp file.
- Same files pack for OpenMW/Vanilla-MWSE : you can install the same way, just in OpenMW, the MWSE script folder will do nothing
So if OpenMW compatible is "yes", by enabling the .esp in OpenMW, you'll get the same basic vfx replacers.
SR_0 - Core (MWSE only)
• currently only required for SR_5_DamageHealth and SR_6_DamageMagicka
• it will be core MWSE script in future, to easier add extra vfx features for spells
• Current features:
-adds vfx for 'on-touch' spell mode
-replaces the attached vfx on character hands when casting
-enables adding environment affecting Lights for spells (added as NiPointLight in nifs)
SR_1 - Bound Spells

- is mod OpenMW compatible : yes
- video: youtube
SR_2 - Bound Items

- recommended mods : Weapon Sheating - sheated models included
: Bestow Binding - mwse mod to enable bound spells on followers.
- video: youtube
SR_3 - Elemental Shields
• Replaces vfx of Elemental Shield spells (hidden in 1st person view)
- is mod OpenMW compatible : yes
for OpenMW4. 7 it is required to replace this file in your 'OpenMW 0. 47. 0\resources\shader

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Massive download count (133k) shows it's widely used.
- Simple concept: visual replacers for spells, easy to understand.
- From known authors Kurpulio and Greatness7, likely quality work.
⚠️ Cons
- Zero endorsements – no community validation, risky to install.
- No detailed description, so you don't know which spells are changed.
- Last updated in 2023 – may not be compatible with latest game patches.
For Skyrim players who want fresh visuals for magic effects without overhauling gameplay. If you're tired of vanilla spell looks and trust the authors' reputation, this is a quick cosmetic upgrade. Skip if you need detailed documentation or community feedback before modding.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to install and manage the replacers easily.
- Check if the mod requires a specific version of Skyrim (SE/AE) – the description doesn't specify, so test on a save you don't mind breaking.
- Since it's a visual replacer, load order matters less, but place it after other magic mods to ensure it overrides their effects.
