Player and NPC dialogue and speaker-name colours can also be configured separately.
Installation
Install UE4SS - AngelScript Fix first.
Copy the contents of the zip into your Gothic 1 Remake folder, so you end up with:
...\steamapps\common\Gothic 1 Remake\G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\G1R_DialogueSubtitleRecolour
The mod folder includes enabled.txt, so no shared mods.txt or mods.json edit is required.
Config
Edit G1R_DialogueSubtitleRecolour.ini to change:
-
[]Player and NPC dialogue colours and opacity separately.
[
]Default player and NPC speaker-name colours, or leave them empty for vanilla.[]Dialogue and speaker-name colours for each faction. Parent rules also cover their ranks.
[]Whether all recolouring, dialogue recolouring, or faction rules are enabled.
Colours accept #RRGGBB, #RRGGBBAA, or comma-separated values. Empty faction dialogue colours use the normal player/NPC colour; empty name colours keep vanilla. Restart the game after editing.
Optional replacement INIs are included for red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, and Gothic Bronze.
