📋 About This Mod
Hunt. Sell. Profit. No more trophies dumped for 0 ore after two sales: prices now decline gently from the live market price to a 1-ore floor, so clearing the woods actually pays. Only the trophy category is touched - food, potions and the
BalancedTraders — Smooth Trophy Sell Prices
Makes hunting profitable again. Vanilla dumps trophy prices to 0 ore after only a few sales - your hard-earned skins become worthless. This mod smooths the crash into a gentle decline with a 1-ore floor, keeping every trophy worth selling. It touches nothing but trophies: the rest of the economy stays vanilla.
What it fixes
In vanilla Gothic 1 Remake, selling hunting trophies crashes their price almost immediately: the 2nd unit is worth ~40% of the 1st, and by the 3rd-5th unit most trophies sell for 0 ore. Food, potions, herbs and lockpicks keep 83-100% of their price over the same count. Hunting builds get punished for playing the game.
What it does
-
[]The game still computes its own live first-unit price - trader stock, ore and long-term saturation stay authoritative.[/]
[]From that live price, each following unit slides linearly down to 1 ore at the 22nd unit instead of collapsing geometrically.[/]
[]Price retention at the 5th unit lands at 75-81% - in line with how the game treats food and utility items.[/]
[]A trophy never sells for 0 (this also fixes items like the lizard claw, priced 0 from the very first unit in vanilla).[/]
Vanilla: 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0...
Modded: 4, 4, 4, 4, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3...
Scope and safety
-
[]Affects only items tagged Item. Trophy. No WorldDefinition edits, no other categories, buying prices untouched.[/]
[]Left inventory price, selected stack, balance total and the ore actually paid on Accept are all consistent (verified by measuring the real ore delta in-game).[/]
[]Pure runtime Lua patching via UE4SS: no game files replaced, no pak edits, nothing stored in saves. Remove the folder - the game is back to vanilla.[/]

Known quirks
On a heavily oversaturated market a trophy can briefly show a price of 0 in the left inventory right after the trading window opens; adding it to the sell list snaps it to the 1-ore floor. The amount actually paid is always correct - only the initial display is stale.
- Fixed a possible UE4SS access-violation crash during trading.
- Reduced short UI hitches when selling trophies.
- Disabled an experimental delayed UI refresh path.
- Trophy price curve is unchanged.
- No known conflict with EconomyTweaks.
