📋 About This Mod
A mod that allows you to set up the position of 2h weapons/bows on your back
Description
This mod allows you to change the back position and rotation of bows and 2H weapons, such as swords, axes, maces, staves, and scepters. The mod only changes the visual position/rotation of the weapon while it is carried on your back. It does not change weapon stats, combat behavior, animations, or models.
In images, there are some screens to show what you can do.
How to use:
- By default, the mod starts in bow editing mode. Press the movement/rotation keys to adjust the position and rotation of the bow on your back.
- Press on the numpad to switch between bow editing and 2H weapon editing.
- When you switch to 2H weapon editing, use the same movement/rotation keys to adjust the position and rotation of 2H weapons on your back.
- When you are done, press END to save your values.
After that, when you equip or unequip your weapon, it will move to your saved position after a short delay. The default delay is 1000ms.

While I made this mod from scratch, with some help from AI for the Lua coding, it is heavily inspired by the amazing Bow and Crossbow Correct Rotation like Classic mod by AdmirableXtory02.
The main difference is how the weapons are detected. This mod does not constantly scan all NPC or creature meshes to check whether they are using bows or 2H weapons. This is especially important for 2H weapons, because they use static meshes, and scanning static meshes would also mean checking many unrelated objects such as trees, rocks, props, and other world objects.
Instead, this mod waits for weapon visual actors to spawn. When a bow or 2H weapon visual appears, the mod checks whether it is a valid back-carried weapon and then applies the saved position and rotation only to that weapon.
This should make the mod simpler, lighter, and more stable.
I have played with this mod for quite a while without issues, but please keep in mind that it is still a UE4SS Lua mod, so problems may still happen.
