📋 About This Mod
ArmorRebalance and ArmorRebalance_RingsAndAmulets mod tries to solve balance issues by changing values of armors and their upgrades. ArmorRebalance_SequentialUpgrades mod introduces sequential buying of upgrades. ArmorRebalance_MagaMana
Description
Armors and their upgrades balance in Gothic 1 Remake cause several problems which this mod aims to fix:
1. Fully upgraded armor causes huge powerspike. You are almost invincible from Chapter 2 and on.
2. Getting new armor doesn't feel rewarding because fully upgraded previous armor is several times better.
3. Mage robes are useless compared to standard armors. For example there is no reason to Fire Robe because upgraded Shadow's Armor is much better.
4. Player has no reason to buy lower tier upgrades. Buying lower tier upgrades doesn't make the better upgrades cheaper, therefore the player is pushed into saving for the higher tier upgrades.
Installation instructions
1. Install UE4SS first (check the Requirements section)
2. Place the whole ArmorRebalance (and/or other mods) folder (the content of the rar file) into the "\G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods" folder.
All mods are standalone, compatibile and all provide different features, so you can you just one, two or all of them. I recommend using ArmorRebalance, ArmorRebalance_SequentialUpgrades, ArmorRebalance_MageMana and ArmorRebalance_RingsAndAmulets.
Main features
ArmorRebalance
changes the resistance values of armors so they are closer to original Gothic and to provide better gameplay experience by solving the first three issues mentioned in the Description section.
It does so by making the base resistance values for base faction armors higher and by lowering their upgrade resistance values which results in overall weaker faction armors except for mage robes which are now better.
All changes:
How to read:
a) BASE shows the base armor values without any upgrades.
b) UPGRADED I and UPGRADED II shows fully upgraded base armor where all upgrades are of one specific variant (either I or II), the different upgrades of each variant can be mixed in the game. Mage robes don't have upgrades and some armors have different amounts of tiers and varaints.
c) The first number is always the original value and the number after "/" is the new value. Missing "/" and a number means there are no changes.
d) List with specific changes to each upgrade is in the mod folder in ArmorRebalance.ini.
