📋 About This Mod
Play a vampire: the Vampire perk, Ghoul servants, the Count role that rises to Dracula by killing, thirst and bites, thralls, blood draughts and a court of red-and-black furniture. Requires BepInEx 5.
Aldrich - Vampire Court
Choose the Vampire perk at character creation, and build them a court.
Tested on Going Medieval 1. 1. 19. English and Spanish texts.
Features
-
[]Vampire perk - chosen in advanced character creation: needs almost no sleep, barely eats, hits harder and heals faster - but the sun burns them. The cold does not bother them at all.[/]
[]Thirst and the bite - vampires grow thirsty and drink from animals or people. Order a bite yourself from the settler's menu.[/]
[]Thralls - a free settler bitten by a vampire is marked by the Count: happier, no complaints and no breakdowns, but slowly losing blood.[/]
[]Ghoul perk - the court's servants share some of the vampire's gifts.[/]
[]The Count - a chapel role with four ranks. Ranks are earned by killing, and the fourth is Dracula - an end-game goal. Every kill makes a vampire a little stronger.[/]
[]Blood draughts - distilled at the apothecary bench or the blood altar, drawn from the blood well, and drunk from a stockpile or a shelf.[/]
[]The court - throne, coffin, crypt, banners, reliquary, crimson candles, veiled mirror, vigil table, blood well, blood altar, brazier, crimson circle and the impaled stake that frightens attackers - each behind its research.[/]
[]Sleeping in a coffin - protects from the sun and heals.[/]
[]The Crimson Vigil - a celebration held at the crimson circle inside a pagan chapel.[/]
Perks
Vampire (8 points, advanced character creation; conflicts with Benevolent)
-
[]Needs 70% less sleep and 60% less food.[/]
[]+35% melee damage, +15% movement, +20% evasion, +50% health recovery.[/]
[]Very little tolerance for sunlight (x0. 35), and it comes back slowly.[/]
[]Corpses, butchering and human flesh do not upset them; never cold, never freezes.[/]
[]Gets on well with Callous, Cannibal and Bloodlust settlers.[/]
-
[]Needs 30% less sleep, +5% movement, +20% health recovery, corpses do not upset them, never cold.[/]
[]Suffers the sun even worse than a vampire.[/]
-
[]+40 mood while serving, no complaint bubbles, no breakdowns and never leaves.[/]
[]Loses a little blood over time, down to 60.[/]
How it works
-
[]Day and night - under the open sun a vampire gets -18 mood, -40% work speed and -25% movement, and burns if it stays out. At night: +6 mood, +20% work speed and +10% movement. Under a roof the sun stops hurting and wounds close faster; asleep in a coffin they heal eight times faster.[/]
[]At home in the cold - below 2 degrees: +6 mood and faster healing.[/]
[]Thirst - three stages over about 25 real minutes without blood: -10, -22 and -35 mood, with work and focus falling. At the last stage the vampire hits harder and goes for whoever is nearest.[/]
[]The bite - order it from the settler's menu, or let the thirst decide. It heals the vampire, takes blood from the victim (light-headed for a day), and can knock them out (10% per hit). A fed vampire gets +16 mood and fights better for a day.[/]
[]Ghouls - an ordered bite on a prisoner has a 20% chance to turn them into a Ghoul who joins the settlement.[/]
[]Blood draughts - +10 mood, +15% melee damage and more sun tolerance for two days. Drinking one also counts as feeding.[/]
[]The Count - a role for the pagan chapel that raises pagan influence every day, and gives an aura of +5 to +16 mood to settlers within 12 tiles.
[]Level 1 - Scion of the court: +10% melee damage, better at recruiting.[/]
[]Level 2 - Lord of the crypt: 5 kills. More health, more sun tolerance, followers and animals come easier.[/]
[]Level 3 - The Count: 15 kills. Walks in daylight far longer, +35% melee damage, faster strikes.[/]
[]Level 4 - Dracula: 30 kills and the advanced pagan chapel. +53% melee damage, +38% health, +45% evasion, three times the sun tolerance.[/]
[]Blood taken - every vampire kill counts, up to 20: +2% melee damage and max health and +0. 5% speed each (+40% / +40% / +10% at 20).[/]
[]The impaled stake - enemies within 10 tiles lose 25 mood, hit 30% less often and for 30% less, dodge less and attack slower.[/]
Every number above can be changed in BepInEx\config\aldrich.vampire_court.cfg.
