Aldrich Minimap
A minimap of the surface of your map, always in the corner of the screen.
Works on both Steam branches of Going Medieval: stable and experimental (1. 1. 19).
Features
-
[]Ground coloured by what is on it: grass, dirt, sand, clay, gravel, rock, snow, fields and roofs, with the relief shaded on top.[/]
[]Water in three shades, by depth.[/]
[]Everything alive as a coloured dot: settlers, visitors, prisoners, enemies, predators, livestock and wildlife.[/]
[]The camera's view drawn on the map. Click or drag on it to move the camera there.[/]
[]+ / - buttons to zoom from 1x to 6x, kept centred on the camera.[/]
[]Hover to read the name of the ground or water under the cursor, in the game's own language.[/]
[]Ctrl+M shows and hides it.[/]
[]Size, corner, position, zoom and key can be changed in the config file.[/]
Note
When a game is loaded, the map can take between 1 and 10 seconds to show correctly: it waits for the terrain and the water to finish loading and repaints itself a few times while they do. This is normal.
Requirements
-
[]BepInEx 5 (x64) installed in the Going Medieval folder.[/]
Installation
-
[]Install BepInEx 5 (x64) in the Going Medieval folder, if you have not already.[/]
[]Extract the archive into the Going Medieval folder (where Going Medieval.exe is), so the file ends up at:
Going Medieval\BepInEx\plugins\AldrichMinimap\AldrichMinimap.dll[/]
[]Start the game and load a map.[/]
Settings
After the first launch:
Going Medieval\BepInEx\config\aldrich.minimap.cfg
-
[]Size - side of the map, in pixels of a 1080p screen.[/]
[]Corner - TopRight (default, left of the notifications) or BottomRight.[/]
[]TopOffsetX / TopOffsetY - position when in the top right.[/]
[]OffsetX / OffsetY - position when in the bottom right.[/]
[]Zoom - 1 to 6.[/]
[]ToggleKey - default M + LeftControl.[/]
Uninstall
Delete the AldrichMinimap folder from BepInEx\plugins. The mod does not touch your saves: it can be added or removed at any time.
Compatibility
It only draws on top of the screen and reads the map; it does not change the game. It should work alongside other mods.
