📋 About This Mod
Flashlight fix
• Allows NPCs to see you when using your flashlight by increasing your light detection modifier with a perk
• Flashlight now also emits detection events which trigger nearby hostiles to investigate, even if they're facing the other way
Why is this needed?
• The default Pip-Boy light is omnidirectional and therefore illuminates the player, allowing NPCs to see you regardless of the ambient light level
• Unidirectional flashlights like Pip-Boy Flashlight do not illuminate the player, so NPCs will not be able to see you if you are standing in darkness, even if you shine your light in their eyes
User friendly
• Extremely lightweight with no performance cost
• Install/uninstall at any time. Just make sure your flashlight is off before uninstalling so the script is disabled.
• Configuration options in the MCM
This is an expanded version of the fix included in my mod Enjoy the Darkness, now with periodic detection events. Disable the stealth fix in EtD if you're using this mod.
