📋 About This Mod
PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS MPH -> KMH
The mod is purely aesthetics
The mod listens to the interface/speedometer units setting and takes care of the rest. It will convert the speed values, set the interior labels, and optionally in Mod Settings you can switch realistic speedometer values on/off.
Vanilla does nothing with this setting except change the 3rd person label to MPH / km/h.
Not even a simple conversion.
-== INTERIOR LABELS ==-
Interior labels will be set to MPH and km/h accordingly.
I reworked some speedo's so that they perfectly match the interior design by using the same font the dashboard already uses (per vehicle). For the Porsche analog speedometer, the pip values will also change values accordingly.
If you changed the interface setting while in a vehicle, just driving a bit will update the labels within a few secs. For motorbikes and the meckinaw you have to re-enter the vehicle though.
-== REALISTIC VALUES ==-
You can switch this setting on/off in the Pause menu -> Mod Settings
Vanilla cyberpunk shown speed on the speedometer is way off. You're barely passing traffic and they want you to believe you are going very fast. This setting corrects that.
When on:
Imperial: speed (mph) = speed (m/s) 2. 23
Metric: speed (km/h) = speed (m/s) 3. 6
When off:
Imperial: speed (mph) = speed (probably m/s?) variable multiplier (vanilla)
Metric: speed (km/h) = speed (vanilla mph) * 1. 6
I'll be making another mod that increases speed of vehicles to use in combination with realistic values. Those 2 combined should give a much better sense of speed in-game.
