📋 About This Mod
Made for game v2. 31. Tested with PL, should work without.
TL;DR
As you move around Night City, the game will initialize containers around you. Untouched ones will be filled with loot, touched ones will be restored to the saved state, and empty ones will remain empty.
This mod hijacks this initialization process and, if the container is eligible, shoves the toothpaste back into the tube puts new loot inside and sets it up, ready to be looted again.
If opened crates ruin your immersion—this mod is for you.
If you are a completionist who wants to loot the city dry—probably not :D
Details
To be eligible for a refill, container needs to meet certain conditions:
-
[]It must be empty.[/]
[]It must be a generic open-world container, marked to generate random loot.[/]
[]It must be of a certain type (filters out bodies and the like).[/]
[]There must be a valid loot table based on the district it is located in and container type.[/]
[]A certain amount of in-game time must pass since it was looted last.[/]
By default, any container looted before this mod is active will be considered eligible if it fits the first 4 criteria.
Any new containers will be timestamped after you empty them and that time will be checked whenever you revisit them.
The mod comes with two parameters: min and max refill timeout.
If time passed is lower than min timeout, the container will be left empty.
After that, there is an increasing chance to refill the container, which becomes a guaranteed refill once the time passed exceeds the max timeout.
Emptying refilled container restarts the process.
Default values start refills after 1 hour and guarantee refill after 1 day, but you can change it to your preference.
Loot Tables
Loot tables are chosen similarly to Vanilla, using the container's district (and subdistrict, if available) and container's type.
To add further variety, this mod randomly selects from several tables for each container type for each refill, ensuring you can get different things from the same container.
For example, weapon containers may contain a weapon, but may also contain a weapon mod, or a crafting material, or a grenade (especially if you use Immersive Grenades wink-wink), or even just some junk.
NOTE 1: Some districts do not have certain tables, so sometimes the container may pick an invalid table and fail to refill. It will be considered empty and will attempt to refill again next time you come by.
NOTE 2: Sometimes even a valid table may fail to generate any items, depending, for example, on your level (consider gi

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple concept that adds long-term replayability without new content.
- Active author—last update was April 2026, so it's likely compatible with current patches.
- Decent download-to-endorsement ratio (3,955 downloads) shows real players are using it.
⚠️ Cons
- Only 48 endorsements—small player base, so bugs might not be widely reported.
- No mention of compatibility with other loot or container mods—could conflict.
For survival and looting enthusiasts who hate empty containers after the first sweep. Also for players who want a subtle gameplay tweak without overhauling the loot system. Skip if you prefer static worlds or use heavy loot overhaul mods.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Check if the mod requires a new save—some container refill mods only work on newly generated containers.
- If you use other loot mods, load this one after them to ensure it takes priority.
- Test in a small area first to see how quickly containers refill—adjust your playstyle accordingly.
