📋 About This Mod
Immersive Odometer • Fuel
This mod adds an odometer, repair system and a fuel-consumption system to player-owned vehicles.
Features
• Odometer (Total)
The odometer is distance-based and won’t match your in-game speedometer exactly. Units are metric.
Your odometer and current fuel level are unique to each vehicle in each playthrough. See the FAQ for details.
• Fuel Tanks & Engine Consumption
Every player vehicle has its own fuel tank. Default tank sizes and consumption (L/100 km) are provided for cars and bikes, and you can customize each vehicle in vm_config_cars.json and in vm_config_bikes.json. Those files are automatically created in the mod folder (VehicleMileage) after you enter an vehicle the first time.
The config starts empty and auto-populates the first time you enter a vehicle—so custom/modded vehicles are supported automatically.
You can also edit the current mounted vehicle in the CET Overlay (Odometer + Fuel)
The default config for vehicles is:
- Cars
Engine: 12L/100km - Tank: 40 Liter
- Bikes
Engine: 6L/100km - Tank: 18 Liter
(Note: Sometimes a vehicle are reconized as a bike/car vice-versa. This is not a big problem. Just edit the values via the overlay)
• Dynamic Fuel Consumption (L/100 km)
Each vehicle has its own base fuel-consumption setting (tweak it in the config, or leave it as is).
Consumption is calculated dynamically based on how fast you’re driving. Hit 150 km/h+ and you’ll start burning your liquid gold really fast…
• Dynamic Pricing & Gas Stations ($/Liter)
There’s a Mods settings menu where you can set the base fuel price per liter. Below that is a Dynamic Price toggle, which is on by default.
Every in-game hour, the fuel price moves randomly around your base (with realistic mean reversion).
You can set the base price from 0 to 10,000 €$—should fit every playstyle :)
To refuel, drive to a gas station. When you’re near a pump, refueling starts automatically at the current price (shown on the HUD).
• Stalling on Empty
If your tank hits empty (0%), the vehicle stalls and you’ll only creep forward in sad little bumps. Even if you destroy or respawn the car, it stays stalled… time to get creative about how to fill it up again :)
• Maintenance
The maintenance system tracks both the distance driven since the last service and the vehicle’s current condition.
Maintenance becomes due when the configured mileage interval is reached or when the vehicle condition drops below 20%.
Visiting a repair bay completes the maintenance and starts a new interval. This also happens when you visit a repair bay before maintenance is due, so regular repairs automatically keep the vehicle maintained.
• Fuel Economy
The fuel economy system gives Night City a limited and dynamic fuel supply. Each gas station has its own underground CHOOH2 tank, and every refuelling reduces the station’s available fuel.
Low fuel supplies can increase prices, and a station may temporarily run completely dry. This means fuel availability and prices can differ between stations, encouraging you to check other locations instead of always using the same pump.

Installation
Install with Vortex or manually. It’s safe to add mid-playthrough. Check the requirements!
Uninstall
The mod don't touch or modify your vehicles in a savegame. It only controls some behavior (like stalling). So don't be shy to try it out :)
And if you are smart you can transfer your vehicle progress to another Playthrough.
Just remove/disable the mod—even mid-playthrough is fine.
Known Issues
- GIG: Life's Work: The reward car (V-Tech Turbo) is recognized as a stolen vehicle the first time you drive it. To fix this just let the car completely respawn or restart your game and you are good to go.
The same behavior is for any other quest vehicle. After you earning them simple respawn the vehicle to get the mod properly work. [/spoiler
