📋 About This Mod

Incoherent Rambling

So, I'm sure you have seen fem V's flat feet. Yeah, stop with the booing and bear with me a second here. Dunno if this is common knowledge, but fem V's flat feet only exist when they have no shoes/boots/whatever on. Shoe goes on, feet change to lifted feet. That's why all vanilla footwear for fem V is so ... odd. It has to hide the fact that V's feet are lifted in there. That's why there are no low tops or really any flat shoes that would expose V's ankles.

Which brings me to the heavy boots (technical name) aka fleets (in-game name). Lots of potential, but the fit on fem V is just terrible in my most humble opinion. Honestly, I think they're unusable in their default state. Masc V's version is better, but they're still too large and they share the super wide uppers. The color variants - while well in line of other garments in the game - don't really work with a lot of other clothes IMHO. This mod is my attempt of fixing all that.

What This Is

Mesh edits and recolors of the vanilla heavy boots (aka fleets) to make them more usable and versatile.

I've changed the fem V version to use flat feet and reshaped the boots to be actually boot shaped. Both versions are now a lot tighter around the calves and downsized to match the size of V's feet. No more extra room for three pairs of extra thick wool socks. Penultimately I recolored them to make them work with different styles. Finally I made new garment support morphs, so the boots don't hideously deform when pant legs go over them. In most cases anyway.

I strongly recommend using Equipment-EX.

Public Service Announcement

To make these more versatile I intentionally tagged these as "Normal" size. This means normal size pants will go over the boot, tight pants will go in. This works pretty well on fem V, but for some pants it doesn't work all that well on masc V.

You can influence this behavior with Equipment-EX which is again strongly recommended. Pro Tip: To influence whether pants will go over or into the shoes, hover the mouse cursor over the pants and hold F. That will allow you to put the pants into a different slot. "Legs/Outer" will almost always go over the shoes. "Legs/Inner" will almost always go into the shoes. "Legs/Middle" depends on the shoes. You can play around with that and the torso slots to affect how the shoes, pants, shirt and jacket play together.

If you can't wait to find/buy/steal them the honest way.

Recently updated (May 2025)

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 247 endorsements and over 255k downloads
  • Simple replacer that works for both fem and masc V
  • Gives the heavy boots a fresh look without changing gameplay

⚠️ Cons

  • Only affects the heavy boots—if you don't use them, this mod is pointless
  • No screenshots or detailed previews in the description, so you're flying blind on the color schemes
  • As a replacer, it overwrites the original boots, so you can't mix and match with the vanilla look
🎯 Is This For You?
For Cyberpunk 2077 players who want to spice up the heavy boots without messing with gameplay. If you're a fashion-focused V who rocks the fleets, this is a quick win. Skip if you never wear heavy boots or prefer full armor overhauls.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since it's a replacer, make sure to back up your original game files if you want to revert, though most mod managers handle this automatically.
  • Use a mod manager like Vortex to install and manage the replacer—it'll keep things tidy and easy to uninstall.
  • Check the mod page for any required dependencies like ArchiveXL, though the description doesn't mention any—so it might be a simple drop-in.
