Incoherent Rambling

To get an idea why fem V shoes look the way they do, please refer to the incoherent rambling on my Heavy Boots Overhaul mod. For the converse high tops the fem V version is pretty much the same as the heavy boots. Weirdly deformed upper to make room for the lifted feet. Masc V's version is better. Is what I would like to say, but not this time. They're ludicrously large. Like clown shoe large. Masc V could probably use the extra room for smuggling or store a change of clothes in there.

What This Is

Mesh edits of the vanilla converse high tops to make them more usable. No recolor for now, because the colors are probably fine and also I felt lazy and didn't want to make new catalog preview icons.

I've changed the fem V version to use flat feet and took the NPC version of the shoes as a base. Masc V's version is downsized a whole lot and a lot narrower at the heel. Like converse sneakers should be. Both versions are now tighter around the calves. Finally I made new garment support morphs, so the shoes don't hideously deform when pant legs go over them. In most cases anyway.

I strongly recommend using Equipment-EX.

Public Service Announcement

To make these more versatile I intentionally tagged these as "Normal" size. This means normal size pants will go over the shoes, tight pants will go in. This works pretty well on fem V, but for some pants it doesn't work all that well on masc V.

You can influence this behavior with Equipment-EX which is again strongly recommended. Pro Tip: To influence whether pants will go over or into the shoes, hover the mouse cursor over the pants and hold F. That will allow you to put the pants into a different slot. "Legs/Outer" will almost always go over the shoes. "Legs/Inner" will almost always go into the shoes. "Legs/Middle" depends on the shoes. You can play around with that and the torso slots to affect how the shoes, pants, shirt and jacket play together.

Known Issues

I did my best (as always) to find a good compromise to make these work with pant legs tucked in and pant legs going over the shoes. It is still a compromise, though and some combinations may show some slight clipping. Also on masc V some pants will go over and crush the shoes which will look bad. Use Equipment-EX to make the pants tuck in in those cases.

Compatibility

Will obviously clash with other mods that edit the converse high tops meshes.

Installation

Just drop the contents of the zip file into your game's root folder like a caveperson or use a mod manager of your choice.
